GBOD Hospitality Group, on behalf of its affiliates El Chingon, Prohibition, Havana 1920, Meze Greek Fusion, and Dough Nations, has determined that it is the socially responsible move to close our operations, effective immediately. Even though business has continued to be great for us and our guests want to be in our restaurants and bars, we wants to be at the forefront of doing the socially responsible thing for the patrons of the Gaslamp, our valued employees, and all concerned. We don’t need to wait for the government to tell us this is the right thing to do.

We are strong supporters of It’s All About the Kids, a local charitable organization that provides food to kids in impoverished neighborhoods, and use whatever food we have on hand now to put food in the mouths of families who are underserved and struggling in our community. We will be working with our friends at It’s All About the Kids to help ensure local families are taken care of in these difficult and uncertain times. We will also continue to look out for our employees to minimize the personal impact on them.

We hope that our efforts and proactive approach will in some small way help the greater good; and we encourage the same of our neighbors in the hospitality field to join us in this effort. We look forward to being able to reopen when it is completely safe, so that our patrons can come and enjoy themselves again. As a community, we are in this together, and we will get through this.
